Buying a small automatic crossover or MPV?
I have a BMW 118i M-Sport Auto. I need a modest sized car, length about the same but more space and ease of access for rapidly ageing parents.
I would like to retain some of the BMW "feel" and the car must be petrol auto for mainly short journeys. Until Volkswagen group modify their DSG this rules them out. The C-Max looks ideal from driving experience point of view but no petrol auto and the 1.6 engine a bit ancient anyway. B-max possibly too small, although Honda Jazz attracts. Other possibles are Toyota Verso and Mercedes-Benz B-Class but that's pushing the budget.
Any rumours about C-Max driveline changes soon? And what about the Peugeot 2008?

The 2008 auto is an automated manual, not an automatic, but the Renault Captur has a proper dual clutch (DSG type) auto without the DSG hesitation. Test and video: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/renault/renault-ca.../
