Replacing a Multipla

My Fiat Multipla has wear in the rear bushe and is worth more to me than it is to anyone else. It does have 12 months MOT but I am thinking about trading it in while it still has some value and getting either an 11 plate V50 with 39,000 miles (one owner) or a 62 plate V60 with 13,500 miles (been used as courtesy car at Volvo garage) both manual diesel 1.6-litre.

I'm after reliability and safety and have three teenagers (15, 13 and 11) plus accumulated stuff and musical instruments to cart around, mostly locally but with regular long journeys, so could do with boot space.

Are these sensible choices or should I invest in something else? Not made of money so want what I have to work hard.

More room in the V50 than in the V60, but still not very much. Poor legroom in the back in both. The 1.6 diesel engine is Peugeot/Ford. Even though it's no bigger than a V50, I think a KIA cee'd 1.6CRDI is a better bet and will have balance of its 7 year warranty.
