Great little car, recommended buy!

Before buying it I read a lot about it and wondered if it would be any bit as good as what was said.

I ended up test driving one and I realised it was true.

If anything this is what a 205 GTI would be like if it were available for sale in the mid 2000s.

It is very old school in the way it was developed: firmly suspended, short gear ratios, a bit buzzy at speed but these are insignificant details.

It's a brilliant warm hatch, a bundle of nerves that makes you feel connected to it.
It handles superbly, the rear accepts to pivot in corners with the ESP off. The brakes are spot on. The steering could do with a little more feel though.

The suspension is firm but it matches the purpose of the car. It seems it gets a bit more compliant at speed.

The engine is eager to rev, a little bit ordinary below 2.5k though. It is so smooth and sounds good, even on a standard exhaust.

(Honest John and one of the owner reviews are incorrect though: the engines are not from Toyota despite similar displacement. Bore and stroke are not the same at all. And the 1.6 isn't from an old Corolla or an MR2 but is essentially a stroked 1.5 from the Ignis Sport!)

Fuel economy is good considering it is driven enthusiastically. Best MPG from the read out was 39.2 avg and currently is 36.

The interior is nice and solid. Love the dials. The boot is bigger than I expected.

No issues with it so far except an EML that pops from time to time. I read a lot about the ghost codes on Suzuki and they just need clearing with an OBD reader.

Recommended little car!
