Lea Francis Reviews

Le Francis has enjoyed a bit of a start-stop existence. Its first incarnation as a car firm was in 1904 but, after a few years, it reverted to making motorcycles. Car production restarted in 1920, focusing on sports models, but th company folded in 1937. A reborn entity returned after the war but its products were never built in great numbers and, by 1954, it was all over once more for Lea-Francis.

Or so it seemed. Then the controversially-styled Lynx was shown at the 1960 British Motor Show to no interest whatsoever. Since then, the occasional Lea-Francis car has appeared, as the marque and its assets are now owned by arch-enthusiast Barrie Price.
